La Rosa Nautica, located at Miraflores was the jewel in Lima. The elegant Victorian style restaurant was located right at a pier at the shore of the Pacific Ocean. From the restaurant, diners could see the magnificent view of the beach and the cliffs of Lima. It was a great place to sip Pisco Sour and watched sunset.
Most waiters spoke no English, but English menu was available. The menu was extensive focusing mainly on seafood. For meat lovers, there were a few beef and chicken dishes, but they did not sound interesting.
La Rosa Nautica was expensive by local standards, but for U.S. tourists, the dinner here was a bargain. It cost US$30 for a three-course meal, wonderful view of waves crashing towards the shores, and seagulls flying by – what a deal!
