Great Food Selection

We went to this restaurant for dinner, the decor is great and the menu has no ending. It tooks us forever to decide on what we would eat. Ther smoothies are excellent. I had fried chicken tacos, oysters spaghetti and chicken ceasar salad. Everything was excellent. The service was good but slow. I would return without any hesitation.

We stumbled upon this cute all-outdoors cafe while strolling along 5th Ave. in Playa del Carmen and decided to stop in, mainly to grab a smoothie, but ended up staying for lunch. They had all-natural foods, which I was kind of wary at first, but they had regular stuff like sandwiches and fruit, as well as more "out there" stuff. The atmosphere was even more important to me than the food, because the trees gave shade in the hot sun, everyone was really friendly, and it's close to the shopping and to our hotel.

The choices on 5th Avenue stretch far and wide for food--we also ate at a restaurant on the other side of the street on the second floor with unbelievably good food and an upscale feel, and right across the street from this cafe is the famous bar with the TVs and swings. So with all the choices, I would still recommend this place for a nice, relaxing (and yummy) lunch.

100% Natural is a chain restaurant that you can find all over the area. They serve wholesome, natural "health" food: smooties of all types, whole grain pancakes and waffles, pastas and fajitas. They’re great for breakfast and lunch. I had a tall mint lemonade that was perfectly tart and so cold that I couldn’t get enough of it and had a second, with a nopales and cheese omlette. (Nopales are tender green "paddles" of cactus cut into strips; they taste like green pepper and are terrific). My companion had a coconut strawberry banana smoothie and whole grain waffles with a fruit plate. She found the waffles too sweet but I liked them. This particular 100% Natural was set in a lovely cool tree covered garden with tables in a sort of "treehouse."
