This was far and away the best restaurant we experienced during our time in Vancouver. On no account should you miss this restaurant if you can afford not to. The menu doesn't look huge, but it is well crafted from produce sourced directly from Granville Island Market and doesn't need to be huge: what they do is mouth wateringly perfect. And with such friendly, professional service and a truly remarkable view of Vancouver and False Creek to boot!
We had squid with garlic, cilantro, and ginger (equal to the best I've ever had), scallops (far and away the best), and pan-fried oysters with chili aioli. Followed this up with white-chocolate cheesecake and then a blueberry tea, which came with a shot of Grand Marnier and another of Amaretto. Tom's sorbet terrine looked similarly inspirational. It was truly inspirational, and on our first visit, we ate in the lounge chairs upstairs, which was ideal as we made an afternoon of it. Some great memories here, which we intend to add to in future.
