Hog Island Oyster Co.

An unexpected gem in the restored Ferry Building, we've never had anything other than the best food, the best service, and the most enjoyable outdoor dining anywhere. Admittedly, we haven't tried it for dinner, but its lunches can't be beaten, with the Manila clams and especially the oysters casino (pictured) standing way out from the pack. It seems to draw an inordinately pleasant crowd, but with a view of the bay and bay bridge like that, it's not too surprising.
