There are two ways of eating at the Templest Arms which is in the Routiers chain. One is the restaurant, which I have never actually used, although I believe it is really good. This would be in the next bracket up from the one given above, which is the price for eating in the bar.

The bar meals are very good indeed and the staff are always very friendly. They do not mind at all if you only want a starter which is big and quite often sufficient for a lunch. Their fish always strikes me as particularly good and whether it is a starter or full Monty occasion I rarely eat anything else there. The beer is a bonus as they have guest real ales and Jennings, a very bitter kind of bitter from the lake District and one of my favourites.

It is on the B6252 about 3 miles [5 km] from Skipton on the way to Clitheroe.
