Description: Moon San Villa is an untypical stylish guesthouse in a spectacular setting poised above the coast at the Blue Lagoon just east of Port Antonio. In fact it is more than a guest house, both in appearance, which is much more stylish than your typical Caribbean bed and breakfast, and in setting. The now converted private villa, bright and airy, has a superb position above the Blue Lagoon, with French doors that fling open to take advantage of the lovely sea views of Monkey Island and the open sea. The four bedrooms - each individually furnished in a contemporary Caribbean style, with some use of local arts and crafts as decoration - are split over the three floors. The dining room on the upper level opens onto a balcony (again for the views) and there is a comfortable lounge below. Moon San Villa is a very comfortable place to stay and for an independent traveler it is well set up to get the best of the area. The owner, Gregory Naldrett, is also happy to share his vast knowledge of the island with guests.
Perched on a hill overlooking the world famous Blue Lagoon, this 4-bedroom/four-bathroom villa has retained all the atmosphere and elegance of a private residence. Giant hundred foot trees with Tarzan like vines and philodendron leaves the size of umbrellas cascade over each deck. ·
The staff at Moon San includes chef, housekeeper and bartender. Breakfast (French toast/ fresh fruit plate/ salt fish and akee /or bacon and eggs + Blue Mountain coffee) is included in rates. Breakfast or dinner is served in one of two dining rooms or on either deck or in your room. Delicious dinner entrees range from Chicken Francis to Jerk Chicken, and fresh lobster, snapper to crawfish soup. Prices range from US$15.00 to $25.00 per person. Ask the chef to prepare a special Jamaican dinner with fresh fish and local fresh vegetables.
Just 300 ft. from the villa is the entrance to the Blue Lagoon. The lagoon is both fresh and salt water, and water temperatures are warm and cold, which makes swimming a whole new experience.
