Pan y Yogurt

After a local Cuenca friend treated me to a pan de yuca and yogurt one day, visiting this little store became a daily ritual. Los panes (literally 'the breads') are warm bite size pan de yuca - made from yuca flour. By themselves, they are pretty delectable but paired with sips of homemade fruit flavored yogurt they are divine. An irresistible taste sensation occurs when the two converge. The shop must know this because yogurt y pan are the only items sold in the store. During the day, Cuencanos in business suits stop by for a couple of panes and finish it off with a yogurt.
