This is the most elegant restaurant I've experienced, in a white glove, servant-behind-each-diner-kind of way. It was almost giggle-worthy because the waitstaff was so intent on getting everything just right and when something went crashing in the kitchen, it seemed so perfectly timed, and defused all the tension exuding from the new waiters. The food was presented to each of us, with a silver cover on top and simultaneously, each one was removed at the same time with a 5-star flourish. To give you an idea of how classy I am: I burst out laughing because it struck me as so 'Upstairs/Downstairs,' and I felt like the chambermaid. But the food was incredible and the atmosphere so romantic and picture-book, that wealthy residents have kept this place humming for years. And for good reason. Don't miss out on this experience. You'll pay dearly but it's worth it.
