This restaurant is popular with families and in addition to fish dishes has several items such as 'chicken fried chicken' with french fries that many children prefer. What is 'chicken fried chicken' you say? Well, it goes back to the traditional Texas dish Chicken fried steak. Most people know what that is and how it is prepared. Somewhere along the line it became popular to describe white meat breast of chicken, battered and served with white gravy and french fries in this manner. There are many ways your fresh fish can be prepared: fried, blackened, baked and lightly cooked in butter. Don't you think that blackened started when someone made an error in the kitchen?
These are not Dallas prices! You can afford to feed the family here. Iced tea is served in large glasses with plenty of refills. Coffee is strong and rich. Homemade bread is served with each meal. Excellent! The meal was so filling I didn't get to try a dessert.
A large private party room is suitable for meetings and wedding dinners. Country decorations with large fire places. This restaurant is a very popular local favorite. Telephone ahead at peak times to check to see if a reservation is a good idea. This is a great place to get out of the Texas sun and heat!!
