Skagway Fish Company

This restaurant was a wonderful find. It was recommended to us by Nan Saldi at Skagway Bungalows. The Skagway Fish Company is a lively and upbeat place in the evenings and offers delicious seafood with a genuinely fun atmosphere. All varieties of seafood are the specialty in this large new building with a waterfront view. The fried halibut was excellent. The seafood is fresh and prepared many different ways. I have since read a review of this restaurant that described it as an upper end seafood restaurant. I found the prices anywhere from average to quite reasonable. They also play a great set of oldies tunes to accompany your dining. We ran into our German friends from the ferry at the fish company. It was one of the livelier and fun places we found on our southeastern Alaska trip.

Both the salmon and the halibut were well prepared and seemed particularly fresh. You can also get almost any seafood prepared many different ways. The sandwich menu also looked good. They also have a large bar with a nice selection of local ambers.
