The cafe is set in a garden atmosphere and opens early in the morning. Many hang out in the cafe drinking coffee and share travel experiences. Cafe prices are not inexpensive, some prices are higher than those in the states, but you can get your expresso and your moccachino here. They also serve smoothies, fruit plates, french toast, granola, egg platters and mexican dishes. Baked goods are sold inside. Example of prices: expresso-18 pesos, moccachino- 30 pesos, smoothies- up to 33 pesos. Lunches focus on sandwiches and salads and dinners change nightly with a few unique entrees. You can visit the website at www.i-akumal.com/lunaazul.htm. Go to the map to see where it is located and click it on. You can view sample menus here. I enjoyed eating here and the food was delicious but it is not the place if you are on a budget- just get a coffee and enjoy the atmosphere.
