We had a day to "do" Kingston, so after an exhausting morning going round the Bob Marley museum in the heat, we were in need of some refreshment. Our guide took us to Devon House, built by Jamaica's first black millionaire in 1881. It is an imposing building (now a museum) which stands in it's own beautiful grounds and the old stable houses several gift shops as well as The Grog Shoppe.
We ate a set lunch of jerk chicken, beans and rice and drank several cans of red stripe sitting in the shade of a large tree. The food was simple but tasty and in some ways one of nicest lunches we had during our last visit to Jamaica.
