LBK Floating Restaurant

It's ok, good and cheap, service is quite slow. This restaurant doubles as the local office of NKS Tours, the local tour operating monopoly. You'll probably arrive here first when you dock at the park and will no doubt be back to await your various tours. The food is fine and prices ok. Be warned that these restaurants tend to run out of various essential commodities such as bananas and french fries -- next thing you know, they'll be out of rice. It's the second best restaurant on the river. My advice is to go next door to the Rumbia, where the surroundings are less clinical and the food is a million times better. Go to LBK when Rumbia is closed.

Rumbia Floating Restaurant

A diamond in the rough! Never have I seen a restaurant shine out so brightly amongst its competitors. There are several floating restaurants on the water all serving similar grub for the same price, but Rumbia is far and away the best. On first impression I worried, that I couldn't afford this place when I saw its candelit ambience, but when I opened the menu I saw its prices were the same as all the rest. And the taste was simply the best I've had from its like in Malaysia. When in Taman Negara, eat there and nowhere else.
