Breakfast and dinner are included in the resort fee and are served in a beautiful, large dining facility, buffet style. The dining room was adjacent to the bar, and game room where guests can play pool, cards, or just visit. In addition to the inside seating, there is also a large deck area in the back and another deck in the front facing the lagoon. Most of the tables accommodated eight (8) guests, which gave us the opportunity to meet and visit with some very interesting people. The slow pace of the Island lends itself very well to sitting after dinner with newfound friends, enjoying the wonderful art of "conversation". The atmosphere is relaxed and comfortable reflecting the true spirit of the Island.
Breakfast is served from 7:00 to 9:30 each morning. In addition to the traditional eggs, bacon, fried potatoes and toast, there was all types of fruit, yogurt, cereals, and a few things you would not expect - one being spaghetti on toast and the other pork & beans on toast. These items are apparently popular breakfast items with the Aussies. There was always plenty of fresh coffee, milk, and juices.
Dinner was served between 6:00 and 8:00 and every night there was a different variety of delicious foods. Choices of meats or fish, vegetables, salads, breads and desserts were offered every evening. I truly believe that the "mission" of the chefs’ who were serving the main entrees was for everyone to leave the Island ten pounds heavier.
