Dixie Crossroads

Dixie Crossroads is known for their quality seafood and home-cooking style cuisine. The restaurant is clad with strange quirky items (i.e. a giant pelican sculpture situated right in front of our table) that make for good conservation. The restaurant is more suited towards families than formal couples. The service was somewhat OK. I arrived here for a 5pm dinner and the place was already packed. Casual wear is recommended although I spotted a few men wearing dirty wife-beaters which weren't so pleasant as I ate my meal. I'm not into seafood, so I ordered their 6oz. grilled chicken that came with a serving of cole slaw and fries. The chicken was surprisingly delicious although I can't say the same for the fries. The cost of the meal was about $8, which is a good deal. I believe that you get a serving of corn fritters with every meal which is sweet cornbread balls with powdered sugar dipping (not my cup of tea).

The restaurant is very loud and has a lot of activity so if you're looking to enjoy a quiet meal, this is not the place to go.

The Dixie Crossroads Restaurant

Last year we called the timeshare office and asked where the locals go to eat seafood. The reply was "Dixie Crossroads Restaurant" and we tried it. From that day on, we made at least one trip per day to the Dixie Crossroads.

We love shrimp and the restaurant offers red, white, rock, & boat shrimp. There are many fresh fish, lobster, and steaks on the menu, too. The food is always prepared as you request and is WONDERFUL.

They have a huge parking lot, but it is usually packed with cars since the food is so good. Depending on the size of the crowd, you may encounter a 10-30 minute wait before your table is ready. The time is well spent with a visit to the butterfly garden or a walk to the bridge over the fish pond. This restaurant is one of the reasons that we chose to spend another week in Titusville.
