If you like Seafood Chowder, you must visit Volantis. I found most of the food in New Zealand to be a kind of blend. They don't use much salt or spice in their food, but they do use a lot of fruit sauce and things like that. I like more flavor in my food and had a hard time eating in New Zealand's restaurants until I found Volantis and their Chowder. I am craving it to this day. They have different sandwiches and salads too. It has the atmosphere of a typical N.Z. Cafe with its menu on a chalkboard and food pick at the counter.
