Lunar Rogue Pub

The Lunar Rogue is a casual pub style eatery, popular with the locals of Fredericton. The Story of Henry More Smith was the inspiration behind the Lunar Rogue, and makes for entertaining reading as you await your food.

I went on a Saturday night, and luckily made reservations earlier that day. I was dining with 6 others, and would not have gotten a spot had I not called in advance. If you are travelling with just two or three, you shouldn't need to call in advance.

What did I eat?
Appetizer: Deep fried mozza sticks (yummy, but common. There were lots of alternatives, from scallops to escargot).
Entree: I ordered a mix of hot and honey garlic wings. (As a connoisseur of hot wings, I must say, theirs were delicious.) I also shared a pat of chicken nachos with my friend. (The menu also includes favorites like beer battered haddock, local seafood, and high quality steaks.)
Dessert: I was too full, but they had a full assortment of pre-made desserts, including cheesecakes and pies, and deep fried ice cream.
Drinks: I had a brand name beer, but they have a manner of mixed drinks and specialty brews.

The restaurant was loud and busy, but the staff were upbeat and friendly, and definitely earned their tip. I was told children are always welcome.
