My wife and I stayed at the Tara Manor in August of 2008 and were amazed at this beautiful spot just on the outskirts of St. Andrews. The property has many acres of grounds to walk and the garden were spectacular.
The complimentary breakfast was a great way to start each day and it was so relaxing to have such a private place to retreat to at the end of a day's whale watching (the local tours are fabulous). We also really enjoyed the pool, hot tub, and tennis.
Our room (an ocean view) had a lovely view of the bay in the distance and we just loved sitting on the deck and watching the sunset. We loved the Tara Manor and we will be back!

An elegant setting with beautiful linen tablecloths, live piano music, and crystal chandeliers with burgandy accents. We were surprised that this was a country inn. The extensive and steadfast continental dinner menu includes a wonderful New Brunswick fiddlehead soup and entrées like turkey stir-fry, chicken à l’orange, coquilles St. Jacques, poached salmon, roast leg of lamb, and delmonico steak. Curries are a house specialty. The cheesecake is heaven.
