El Fogon

El Fogon is located very close to the Hotel Oxford in centro Montevideo. This restaurant, with a semi-fancy interior and heavy chairs, has an extensive menu. I had my last dinner here before heading to Buenos Aires, so eating the steak and fries topped by an egg was good preparation for the Argentinian steak-a-day diet. There was also a special that appeared to be a pot of steaming meat, which was being shared by two gentlemen.
