Golden Corral

When we arrived the line was very long, but was moving quickly. They even opened a second check out as the line built up. This is the first Golden Corral that I have been to that had someone seating people – a system that appeared to be very efficient, and beat wandering around trying to find a table.

Our server was obviously working hard, as she had many people seated in her area, but was friendly and kept a good eye on us. She did not hesitate, or look annoyed when I asked for some lemons for my ice tea, (although I easily found them later when I went up to the food bar) and brought them promptly with a smile.

The place was very crowded, but all the servers/carvers were in place and things moved swiftly. There was not any delay in empty trays being replaced with new ones, and all the food appeared to be fresh and plentiful. There were employees roaming every area, and if there appeared to be a problem, or slowdown in the line they were quick to approach and see if it was a problem they could resolve.

I have to laugh that the French girls that were with us had a sweet tooth – and could not resist wrapping some treats from the plentiful bounty available in napkins to have later. I worried that this might cause a problem, since this is an ‘all you care to eat’ place and they tend to frown on taking products without paying for carryout. The girls were obvious in their delight, and export of the product, but there was no challenge from the staff, despite their obvious smiles at the girls’ activity.
