We went to check this place out and almost didn't go in. The menu didn't have a lot of choices and the prices seemed a little high. But we decided to give it a try anyway. We had a great experience and it was worth every penny! I had the prime rib and my wife got the burger off the kids menu (which wasn't what I would call kids sized). The complimentary bread was soft, warm and delicious. The house vinagarette dressing was absolutely spectacular, seriously the best I've ever had. There were very few people there, but I enjoyed the well decorated western theme of the place. We had very professional and attentive service. The prime rib was very good quality, tender and juicy. Better than any I've had at Ruby River. I got the biggest prime rib, which was a lot of meat for one person! I am shocked to see the other reviews, perhaps things have improved?

My husband and I have traveled 3 hours, several times for the prime rib at the Claim Jumper in Heber. We have ordered prime rib every where around the U.S. and down on the islands (terrible steak). We know we can always count on our prime rib cooked to perfection and a very healthy serving. The customer service is always excellent. Very beautiful and relaxing environment. I have recommended this place to all of our friends and family. We have also brought several friends and family here. They too are big fans now.

Claimjumper is popular, small steakhouse chain (in Park City, Heber, and Moab), but I don’t like it. For what they charge for prime rib, it should not have been frozen meat, and when I ordered it rare, the waiter should have warned me that the center would be a chunk of ice. Had I known, I would have tried a fresh steak instead, but, being given that ice, I haven’t been back in 10 years.
