Go Fish
If you’re looking for a great place to meet friends for drinks, this is it. Go Fish has atmosphere and aesthetics, interesting drinks and an incredibly eclectic selection of appetizers. There are fish everywhere: on the walls in large, color-splashed murals, in a tall glass case filled with blown glass lobsters and crabs and flounder, and, best of all, on the plates.
The place is very big but doesn’t feel that way because there are many rooms and sections. In the center of the main room is the perfect bar: the bartenders stand on a sunken floor in the center; patrons sit up a level, ordering a range of martinis and margaritas. There’s a fantastic array of appetizers here—everything from beef stroganoff to mussels. Salads include a fresh roasted pear salad that is sweet and juicy.
The bar tenders are quick, fun and friendly. You could sit by yourselves as a couple or show up with a group
They have a full sushi menu here (if you like you can head to the back and sit at the sushi bar), along with a regular dinner menu. We had a nice California roll—chopped crab, firm rice and crunchy sesame. If you sit at a table, they’ll serve you some incredible bread—slices of a crusty baguette that has beautiful airy pockets. The bread is accompanied by a white bean hummus—creamy and laced with cilantro. They were both so good we asked to take them home.
Unfortunately the main dish we ordered—grilled tuna on sautéed greens—wasn’t very good. For starters, the greens were kale that was spiced with too much coriander. The kale, as it was, was too strong to be paired with fish of any kind. And te tuna itself—somewhat stringy and warmed rather than grilled. Given that it was considered a reduced portion (5 oz), the $17 was pretty steep.
The meal finished with a wonderful cappuccino—at least an inch of froth topping flavorful coffee.
Given our dinner experience, I’d be sure to return for drinks and appetizers and salads.

GO FISH

GO FISH

If you love fish, this is the place to go...located at the Olde Mistick Village, right off Route 95, this place serves all kinds of fish...raw sushi, cooked...grilled, baked, broiled, steamed, sauteed, seared, blackened, and fried.

Living close to this restaurant, I've had a number of meals here...all delicious. Their salads are great...try the Thai Shrimp Salad with spicy peanut dressing. For the entree, try their Portuguese Fisherman's Pan Roast which includes fresh fish, littleneck clams, chorizo sausage potatoes, and tomato in a spiced garlic broth. Or try the Bouillabaisse which includes clams, mussels, shrimp, calamari, and fish in a tomato, fennel and saffron broth.
