Great lobster and steamers and beautiful waterfront location. Very kid-friendly, as all the tables are picnic style under a tent or along the dock. You can get a table right away, but there's a huge line to order food and then a wait while your order is prepared -- the lobsters are steamed when you order them, so it takes time. Not cheap, considering it's a glorified seafood shack -- the cheapest lobster dinner was $17, but it was a Father's Day splurge and the two 4-5lb lobsters we all shared were the sweetest around.
If you go to their website ahead of time, you can print out a free chowder coupon (one bowl per entree). This restaurant was one exit away on 95 from Mystic Seaport, and then you have to take local streets following signs for a while -- hard to find, but worth it.
