Best Dried Fruit!!

My sister and I were vacationing in Florida recently, and the desk clerk at our hotel told us we really needed to stop at Robert Is Here (located close to the entrance to Everglades National Park). It was great! We went back 2 or 3 times during our visit, and the dried fruit there was the best I've tasted! We really loved the dried pineapple, mango and (our favorite!) papaya!! We ate lots of dried papaya for snacks during our stay, and brought dried fruit home for our family. The fruit was not dried too much, and was not leathery (a nice change!)--it was just the right amount of moist and sooo yummy! They had nice fruit shakes, more kinds of honey than you could imagine, and lot of other foods. I recommend this place highly!

Robert is Here is not really a restaurant, but a family owned store, on the road to the Everglades in Homestead. They have the best shakes made of delicious fresh fruit. The store also has home made honey and jam and lots of tropical fruits. In the back they have a garden with gigantic turtles (and I really mean GIGANTIC!!!)

The people are very friendly and a lot of times they offer you a little taste of some exotic fruit that you have never seen before.
