This restaurant is easy to find, located right off of I-10 on the east side of El Paso. Julio's provides a very friendly, cozy, and authentic environment that will not bust your wallet. I was seated quickly, and chips and salsa were on my table immediately. I ordered the flauta plate, a drink, and flan, all for less than $15. During lunch and dinner hours, they have a keyboard player playing many soft pop hits and, of course, the popular Spanish hits. Give him a tip and request a song!
This restaurant was opened in 1944 and is still family-owned. Founded by Julio Ramirez and his wife, Lupe, Julio’s is now owned and carefully supervised by their daughter Maria and her husband Francisco Orrantia. Overall, I felt really relaxed at Julio's and would recommend visiting the next time you are in El Paso.
