My friend from El Paso worked here all through high school and told us a million times that when we "got to El Paso, you HAVE to go there... they have the best food." Well, maybe not the BEST, but it was pretty good. We got there around 7 on a Wednesday and it was packed. With our party of 8, we waited about 30 minutes for a table.

The atmosphere of the restaurant is like an English bar: dark wood, low lights, but still friendly. I guess I gathered the "bar" part due to the fact that they brew several beers of their own on the premises. It is a pretty big place with lots of different rooms and all decorated in beer paraphenelia and other restaurant stuff. It was little Bennigan's-ish, as were their menu selections.

At the table, I ignored the home-brew beer factor and ordered a margarita. It was pretty good and big, and pretty strong. At the advice of our friend, I split the (very big) beef Fajita Nachos with a friend. They were more than enough for us (two girls), with a lot more meat than I care to have on my Nachos, but also lots of grated cheddar and mozzarella (yum!). They were in layers (a layer of tortilla chips, cheese, beef, then more chips, cheese, beef). Almost never-ending it seemed. We did save some room for dessert, since our friend told us we had to have the Adobe Mud Pie. It was good, consisting of a chocolate crumbly crust, and a frozen coffee ice cream center. The only problem was that the ice cream had ice crystals in it, which I HATE, but the flavor was still good.

All in all, I think our friend was a little biased and set our expectations a little too high for this place. However, it was good restaurant with a good atmosphere.
