Villa Napoli Restaurant

Our experience here was a surprise. The restaurant was recommended by a local motel owner, and the atmosphere and location were great. It was their last night of operation for the season, so they were out of a few menu items. Also, they were understaffed, and we had to ask three times for more bread and another three times for a glass of water. My dish (Toscana) was excellent. The chicken had a smoked flavor and was in mushroom sauce that was also wonderfully flavored. A friend ordered pizza, and the crust was spongy and basically not edible. My husband ordered veal, and the sauce that it was in had a very distinct taste. He didn't like it at all, but by the time the waitress came back to our table (very slow service), we had all fed him some of our own food. She at first wouldn't take the item off of our check, but when we asked to see the manager, she did so. We wanted to tell the manager about our experience, but he never came out to speak with us.

I will recommend this restaurant somewhat, because I have a feeling that our problems were due to it being the last night of their season. And my dish was great.
