This dinner was one of the two restaurants that we tried which were recommended by locals. The food was not as good as we had hoped, especially considering the entrees were about $20 a piece. The sauce in my dish was excellent with fresh tomato, but the chicken was average and the shrimp did not taste at all fresh.
For dessert, I would definitely recommend the chocolate trilogy, which has white chocolate mousse, milk chocolate mousse, and dark chocolate cake on the bottom. It was delicious and we saved half of it for later. My husband ordered the strawberry pastry. The pastry was nice and flaky, but there were only three strawberries and a pile of whipped cream.
We decided that enjoying Lake George means focusing more on hiking and the nearby attractions, and less on dining. Both of the 'excellent' restaurants that we tried were less than excellent. So taking that into consideration, I would recommend this restaurant, because it is probably better than the competition.
