Museum Restaurant

This restaurant is a little behind and to the left of the building that houses pit one. It serves a Chinese buffet for a fairly reasonable price, I think it was Y38 ($4.50). The food is OK, it's Chinese (not American-Chinese).

You don't have to worry about ordering, just go up to the buffet table and see if there's anything that looks good. They will also bring several more dishes to your table, served Chinese style. Unfortunately, I don't have a clue what any of the dishes were. There is such a wide assortment of items, everyone should be able to find something they like. I usually like the vegetable dishes, because in China the vegetables are always cooked fresh -- never frozen or canned. There is nothing too exotic at this restaurant, it's all pretty safe, although some dishes may be a little spicy.

The one thing that is special here, though, is the noodles. There is a guy making noodles by hand. He has a big bunch of dough, and he keeps stretching and folding it, and all of a sudden it becomes a bunch of noodles. You will be served a bowl of beef noodle soup (beef broth, I think -- the beef is not visible). The soup is a little spicy, but it's good.
