Belle Epoque

We had the most romantic dinner one could possibly have. It was like a fairy tale, and I was a princess. . . . Honestly... It's very hard to find a decent, inexpensive restaurant in Warsaw. There's plenty of kebab stands, lot's of strange snack bars, and a few very expensive overcrowded places. Then finding this spot was a real relief. We went there for a first date. When the owner saw that, she prepared special plates with hearts and candles. The food was outstanding, and there was a pianist playing the theme fromCasablanca. We had amazing Polish pierogi, dumplings with meat and creamy cheese soups, decent French wine, and at the end incredible homemade cakes. There were almost only couples there. And I really enjoyed the lighting--discreet--as was the waitress. Could you have asked for more for a romantic date? Now we try to go back there as often as possible. For us, the time has stopped at that place.
