Five Star Day is a great local spot for anyone that craves a more hearty Southern meal. Favorites for my girlfriend and I include the meatloaf, macaroni, and the chicken salad. Five Star also sells healthier choices along with t-shirts.
Although Five Star is in a great location along Broad street, their space is VERY limited. For their brunch the wait is usually around 15 minutes (if not more). I estimate there to be around 12 tables in the restaurant which makes it hard to accommodate large crowds!
But don't worry, the wait is worth it!

Good soul food. A unique little restaurant with good atmosphere, local art. Good when you want some heavy Southern-style food. My favorite: Soul Chicken, side mashed potatoes, green beans, and homemade cornbread. For under $7.
