As everything was closed on Mondays in the area, our host escorted us to this little osteria in the town of Belvedere, where he knew the owners and explained to them that we were on our honeymoon. To say that we were waited on hand and foot is an understatement. The owners, who include Simona, Silvano, and our lovely waitress, Giuliana, were the most gracious hosts, and took us on a culinary adventure of the local fare in the Santerno Valley. We welcomed their culionary suggestions for the evening and were not disappointed. Giuliana even brought these beautiful local mushrooms to the table to show us the freshness of their dishes. They still had dirt on them to show they were just pulled from the earth. All three courses were exquisitely prepared and tasted like nothing we had tried before. Simple and traditional, but perfect.

This one place we will DEFINITELY go back to. By the end of the evening, we felt like family there. Please see the pictures. If you go, tell them we said hello. At the evening's conclusion, the event cost under =$45. Nowhere in the U.S. can this be found. We left these beautiful and gracious, loving people with a promise that we would return. And we will.
