Grotto Pizza

This is one of Rehoboth's oldest places to eat. I have been going here for years. They mainly have pizza, but also some pasta and other types of food for kids who might not want pizza. It is somewhat more expensive than a regular chain pizza store, but the quality is great. They have several locations right on the beach, and a few up the streets from the boardwalk. Very fun place to go, especially with the kids!

Grotto Pizza

After arriving in Rehoboth, I saw numerous Grotto Pizza restaurants, which eventually led me go in and try their food. I saw on their menu "Voted Best in Delaware," which led me to really be expecting some good food. After getting my pizza, I wasn't that impressed.

Sure, they're better than my pizzeria around the block. I would order their pizza only for their good location, right on the boardwalk, but I would definitely go to Nicola's pizza instead.

A traditional Delaware beach pizza place, Grotto has been around for ages. Recently, the chain has grown and now features locations throughout Delaware and into PA.

Grotto makes it's own dough and it's 'special' sauce. It is kind of a 'Margherita' style of pizza. The pizza is the reason you go to Grotto, but they also offer some pasta dishes, salads (the Chicken Caesar is great! but pricey at $6.95), as well as sandwiches and burgers.
