The building can be described as garish, avant-garde, and downright tacky, but the food can only be described as EXCELLENT! This small cafe that overlooks the city of Nanaimo provides a shockingly authentic Mexican food experience. The Southwestern Seafood Burritos made "extra hot" are literally one of the reasons my wife and I decided to return to Vancouver Island for our vacation. The atmosphere is extremely casual, and there are no reservations, so if you come at prime time, expect to wait a while, but it's worth it. I'll definitely be back.
