This restaurant has an excellent location right in the Centro Historico of Merida. The ambience here is romantic but also family oriented. Warning: If you sit upstairs, the view may be pretty and the air fresh, but the chairs are uncomfortable and the table is small.
Every time I go here I order the arrachera, which has to be the best in Merida. It is pretty cheap, too - only 85 pesos - and it comes with a side dish of potatoes layered with cheese. They do offer a variety of dishes here, including rabbit, although I've heard the Yucatan rabbit can be pretty tough. Be sure to order naranjada with mineral water (a very good drink made from oranges and sugar) and the crepas con cajeta, a regional dessert (it’s not really regional considering that crepes are French but the cajeta, caramel made from goat's milk, is regional).
