Maca-Ronni

This restaurant came highly recommended as a lively, fun spot with live music nightly. I thought this would be a great idea, as I am a singer, and was also dining out with a small child, when fun and lively work well. I was very disappointed to find that Maca-Ronni was neither fun nor lively. As it turns out, we arrived there much too early for the entertainment, so the atmosphere was stark and quiet. They don't even bother with boxed music--just the sounds of pots and pans clinging and clanging away in the kitchen. Add to that the stares of our fellow patrons cursing our arrival and the service staff who hung up their personalities with their coats as they came in for work, and you have a complete picture of our dining experience at Maca-Ronni. I do give this place a "somewhat recommended" because the food was not terrible--but it was also not great, and to be fair, live music is always a nice touch (when you can get it).
