The restaurant is just off the beach at The Sands resort. This restaurant is open-air, with a huge deck overlooking the beach. Breakfast is fantastic here and the prices are pretty good. We also ate lunch and dinner here and were never disappointed in the quality or amount of the food. Everything was presented very nicely. Like a lot of Provo service, the waitstaff was hit or miss, with poor attitudes. This isn't fancy dining, it is casual—a great place to end up after a walk on the beach.

We ate here twice and found it reasonable and wonderful. We ate under the stars. On one evening they had a buffet, which was quite good.

An instant island hot spot, Hemingway's beachside locale attracts international travelers as well as locals. The selections are inviting and the creations are palate-pleasing. Fresh grouper, for example, is lightly spiced and pan-seared, served with a tequila-spiked veggie salsa with charred onions, black beans, corn, red and green peppers, and carrots. Shrimp is lightly sautéed with a scrumptious pesto cream over penne, and filet mignon is exquisitely grilled with a fragrant red wine mushroom sauce. Hemingway's is also a good lunch choice, serving gourmet sandwiches, hearty salads, soft fish tacos, or fresh vegetable pitas. Finish with fresh fruit crepes laced with a Grand Marnier caramel and fried ice cream. At night, with its torches and candlelight, there's a hint of romance.
