The Sunset Grill is the sister restaurant of The Old Post Office Restaurant. See the separate entry for the Old Post Office. Sunset Grill is located at the Edisto Marina on Big Bay Creek. It is only a short way from Edisto Ocean Ridge. It is within walking distance of some of the units. Their seafood is delivered to their dock daily. It is served fried, grilled, or broiled. All their food and produce are local. They are open seven days a week and offer a Sunday brunch. During the summer months there is live music at the outdoor Lizard Bar. Beautiful sunsets are visible from this restaurant. It is not easy to find as it is tucked back in behind another building. The parking lot is a short ways away, but there are a few parking spaces reserved at the building itself for those who need them. The restaurant is up a long flight of stairs as are so many of the buildings on Edisto Island.
While the specialties are seafood, they do have a couple of other menu choices. My husband and I both had the New York Strip Steak and thought it was delicious. It was served with a salad and baked potato. There were several people in the restaurant with small children. It was a friendly place as was every place we found on the island.
