I had the huevos rancheros hot, which turned out to be a very bland mild and not at all picante; the beans were also painfully dry and bland. The ceviche was a pleasant surprise as it was relatively good; though it’s only offered as an appetizer, it was well-seasoned and quite tender. There are also some off-menu items you can order (most were not available), including mole chicken, platanos (plantains), and tres leches. The platanos, which were available, were merely adequate. I'm told the mole and tres leches are both excellent, but I remain skeptical.
It’s friendly and not a bad place to take friends and family who aren't so happy about spice in their diet, but if you're looking for a dining adventure or authentic regional cuisine, look elsewhere.
