I eat there most any time I get down to the gulf. Their "Royal Red" (shrimp) is as close to lobster as you will find. the "Captain's Platter is great, with a good mix and balance of goodies. The one caveat is that the scallops are short on quantity... although the quality is up to the usually great standard.
Prices are fair to good on $$ but getting in can require a little patience during dinner-time, esp on weekends during the summer season.
Thanks for great service and friendship goes out to Karen!

The locals all highly recommend King Neptune’s. I had my very first taste of Steamed Shrimp here. It is my favorite by far. You can choose from any type of local seafood available. The food is wonderful, although there is not a lot of atmosphere. It's kind of a dive. But they sure know what they are doing when it comes to seafood. If you go for lunch they have great lunch specials very reasonably priced ($5-6). If you go for supper, get there early evening or plan on standing in line for a table. This place is crowded at night, but I think very worth it. We always seem to return to King Neptunes when looking for that great seafood meal.
