Pav bhaji is a mishmash of veggies cooked together and eaten with bread almost soaked in butter! Not for those who watch calories for sure. Everyone in Bombay has a favourite pav bhaji place. And every Bombay native will swear that the place they eat at is the best in Bombay. So, to avoid a huge debate, our favourite place for pav bhaji is Shabari.

The place is nothing to write home about. It is an Udipi-type joint (Udipi is local fast food) where you are served within a few minutes. You eat and leave. The pav bhaji has been the best we've ever had amongst the various places we've tried it in Bombay. There are new versions to it, but the classic is the best. It costs $1!!

But it is not for those with a sensitive stomach. Spice levels can be reduced to nil if you tell them while ordering it. Wash it down with fresh-squeezed juices!
