Okay, dont laugh, but the Koreans have managed to hit a homerun bringing a little bit of french cuisine to Seoul; at least to the Hilton Buffet. This daily buffet is an uncanny fusion of some of the best French and Korean cuisine. Its a strange combination, I know, but I spent 16 years in Germany near the french border and have experienced true french cuisine numerous times. Its comparable! Add all the trips I've made to Korea lately, and I can safely say they hit the mark at this buffet. Particularly noteworthy to me was the foi grois (melt-in-your-mouth goose liver pate) - all you can eat no less. I hadn't eaten this delectable item since I'd left europe many moons ago. It was amazing that this type of food was actually part of the buffet, because I know I ate my money's worth on this item alone. Also in abundance, were piles of fresh boiled shrimp (with heads), smoked salmon, sushi bar, veal, beef ribs cooked Korean style and many more items. I highly suggest this buffet even if travelers aren't staying in the Hilton at Seoul. Prix Fix buffet was $29. There's only one Hilton in Seoul, so most drivers know how to get you here.
