Plan a trip here for the best breakfast in town. There will be a line on weekend mornings, but the wait will be short and well worth it. (In case you sleep in on Saturday/Sunday, breakfast is served till 4pm.)
If you are lucky, you will be greeted with Ernie’s famous flirtatious enthusiasm. The girls will get, "Hello Sexy!!" The guys will get, "and YOU!"
The decor comes from the couple’s extensive collection of objects from their trips to Germany and beyond. Ever-present polka music completes the picture.
They serve omelets, eggs Benedict with white-wine hollandaise sauce, German sausage of all kinds, French toast, and pancakes. Warning – I believe it’s the hot cake that is the size of the plate. Make sure you are hungry!!
Dinners are fantastic and heavily German influenced, however Around the World seasonal menus are sometimes to be had. Leave room for Barb’s apple streusel, which won’t disappoint.
There is free parking, and they accept credit cards, debit cards, and cash. NO reservations are accepted for breakfast, but call about dinner - they may be required depending on the season and or event. It is a kid-friendly place.
