Description: For our final night in Sonoma County, we wanted to have a nice dinner close to our timeshare in Windsor. After briefly consulting the dining listings in our room, we chose Langley’s on the Green, primarily because it was close. We were in for a nice surprise: Langley’s is one of the best restaurants we’ve had the pleasure of dining at. The overall feel of the restaurant is roomy and relaxed classiness. The dining room is spacious and the bustle of the kitchen is in full view. They cook up a delicious, eclectic mix of American cuisine with accents from all over the world. We love fried calamari so we decided to try that as the appetizer. But before that even arrived at our table, they brought out a "taste from the kitchen": delicious lettuce wraps. When the calamari did arrive, it was perfect—crispy, not too chewy, and so flavorful. It’s probably tied for the best we ever had (with Joe Rombi’s in Monterey). For our entrées, I ordered the Mongolian pork chop, mashed potatoes, and miso salad and my fiancé had the steak with scalloped potatoes. Both entrées are pretty standard dishes, but they were done in such a creative way with such lovely presentation that they seemed completely unique. My fiance’s steak was a little less done that she usually likes it, but she still relished every bite, and maybe she’ll actually be ordering her steaks a little more rare after tasting how delicious this one was.The service was impeccable and they also had good suggestions for wine pairings. At the end of the meal, they gave us two muffins that we had for breakfast the next morning. We’re definitely coming back next time we’re in Sonoma County.
