The food was delicious. The atmosphere was casual and right on the water. They had a bar in front of the kitchen and allowed my son to sit and watch the food prepartions. Very accommodating!

Grills Restaurant and Tiki Bar

Grills Seafood Deck and Tiki Bar is the place to see and be seen. The bar, restaurant, and every inch surrounding the docks are filled with people happily listening to reggae music with tropical drinks in hand.

The restaurant, recommended to me by the resort staff, is located in Port Canaveral. When we arrived in the parking lot, there were cars, boats and motorcycles everywhere. It took a while to find a spot. Once we did, we put our name in on the hostess' list and waited to be called. The wait was about 20 minutes. We arrived somewhat early so I can't imagine how long it must be during primetime. Be aware if you come with children that the bar is large and bustling. However, the open air dining area is fine for families. Eating dinner, we watched as several GIANT cruise ships passed by, including the Disney Magic. They were so close it felt as if we could touch them.

Grills Restaurant offers a unique waterfront experience featuring island cuisine. You can savor any of their fresh seafood dishes while watching the day’s catches being brought in at 5pm. Capt. Joe will ensure you have the freshest and best tasting seafood around. My favorites were the:
Shrimp Jammers- Fried, butterflied shrimp filled with cheese. $6.99
Snow Crab Clusters - One pound of steamed crab legs served with pasta, Tahiti taters, or Caribbean wild rice, steamed island veggies, and cheese bread. $11.99
Tenderloin Tip Kabobs - Skewered tenderloin tips with an assortment of veggies and served with pasta or Caribbean wild rice, steamed island veggies, and cheese bread. $11.99
Don’t forget their chowders, made fresh and from their own recipes.

Present an out of state driver’s license for 10% off your meal!

Grill’s offer giant portions, fresh food, original recipes, and a fun and entertaining atmosphere. Try it once and you’re sure to return. I can’t wait to go back!

It was delightful!! Water views looking out to the passing cruise ships. Great frozen margaritas complete with the umbrellas!! Fresh fish, which was tuna or mahi the night we were there. I had the combo kebobs with shark shrimp and tenderloin. Awesome roasted potatoes with a smoked parmesan cream sauce. The seafood alfredo was to die for. The service was great, but be prepared to wait for a table. If it’s a nice evening, there is a great outside waterfront tiki bar.

We asked at our timeshare "what place has the best fresh seafood around?" Grills is a unique waterfront eating establishment with original cuisine. Grills is in the middle of Sunrise Marina, which is located just one hour east of Orlando on the Space Coast in Port Canaveral. They claim to have "the finest quality local fish prepared in the healthiest and most delicious process available - marinating and grilling."And we were not disappointed at Grills!

Several of our party had the catch of day, which was Mahi Mahi - it was superb! Sometimes Mahi Mahi can be dry if prepared wrong, but they definitely know how to bring out the flavor and keep it from being dry. I had the bacon-wrapped scallops and was not disappointed in the number of scallops nor the taste. We arrived at the restaurant right around 5:00pm and had a window seat, which was an excellent view as the cruise ships were leaving port. We were there on a very cold windy day, so we couldn't wait outdoors at the bar nor be seated on their outdoor patio that also overlooks the same area. They also are open for breakfast and lunch.

We definitely will want to return to this place next time we are in the area, or would even drive down from Orlando to eat here!
