Restaurant L'Astrolab's

A restaurant with a very unique décor, in St. Laurent du Var, just next to Nice. If you like astronomy, astrology or the color blue, you'll feel right at home.

Located in a row of dozens of restaurants with neon lights on the port, it takes a bit of looking to find, but is worth the effort. Entrées average 40F, main dishes cost from 70-150F, and desserts from 35-60F. I chose a menu at 135F, which included an entrée, main dish and dessert. The entrées are huge, none of us was able to finish ours. The main dish was even more generous, cooked just as we had asked, and so good that we took over an hour to finish. I had grilled duck in onion and lemon sauce with potatoes, my boyfriend the same, and our friend a beef steak. For dessert we all went light and chose ice cream!

In brief, a more expensive restaurant that delivers in quantity and quality. You'll go home full and happy! Note that reservations are recommended, and usually necessary for dinner.
