The dining options at the all-inclusive Sea Castles resort is, predictably, mostly buffet line offerings. But if you make reservations in advance you can enjoy dining in their patio restaurant located above the main lobby. The dishes served are authentic Jamaican cuisine mixed with classic Continental fare.
I was brave and tried some tomato-based conch soup, with which I was both surprised and pleased. The chicken was also fine, but for me there is a mighty big difference between plantains and bananas. I'm not sure too many folks particularly cared for the plantain filled pastry dessert. Service was slow but polite and friendly, a nice change from the gruff buffet line slingers.
