Anyone visiting Jamaica should kick back and relax. Do what the local people do.
Do you think that they could ever afford to pay the same prices as the tourists? No way.
Follow them or ask any local taxi driver, barman, waiter or general worker. Where do you eat? The best tasting meals are called "box lunch". Sometimes they are served in a box or Styrofoam container. The serving is a full meal and tastes absolutely delicious, especially with the local Red Stripe beer.
Another alternative is to try the BBQ food cooked on portable drums that you can find all over the island. You can smell them from far away.
Just like the music, they are an ever-present part of the life in paradise.
