Slickrock Cafe (American)

A lovely spot to stop when you're slightly hungry and slightly thirsty, as we did on a Sunday afternoon. Dining in the open-air cafe is a pleasant experience, as the water sprayers constantly mist your sweltering body with cool water. We snacked on chips and fresh cut salsa along with excellent iced tea (free refills) and some margaritas. It was a great place to unwind and let our tired muscles rest after 8 hours of hiking the day before.

There is also a store and gallery attached to the restaurant. You can access the internet here as well for a reasonable charge.

Right on the main drag (Main Street) within easy walking distance from hotels, is the Slickrock Cafe. You can't miss it....It has southwest logo and colors that catch the eye. Plus, it is adjacent to a neat gift shop.

Food and drinks were great. Food was American with a southwest twist to it. Upstairs were several PC's for surfing the net and checking email. I passed.
