This was a short walk from the Inn at Oyster Point. This restaurant is on the water, and if you elect to have a seat near the huge, welcoming windows, you'll have a certain experience that's sure to be winning. We elected a more private booth that had almost a sense of being enclosed, which was very romantic. We also took the opportunity to order two sandwiches to go when we placed our entree order to take back to the bed and breakfast for the next day's lunch. The wait staff didn't bat an eyelash, didn't forget, and brought the sandwiches when we were ready to depart.
My partner had a specialty martini, which was most tasty (I had a sip). I had a standard glass of wine. We skipped appetizers. The salad was good and the meals were amazing. This was well worth the cost and was tasty and well-prepared. The service was a tad slow for my taste, but perhaps this is because they were giving us space for the romantic setting, which would be a fair assumption for them to make. This is a regular spot of ours for anniversaries, and we've yet to have a bad meal. My favorite is lobster, OF course! We've also tried the s'amores dessert, which is fun, but I think a tad overpriced. The chicken fillet sandwich is very tasty and excellent to refrigerate overnight for lunch the next day at the bed and breakfast.
A romantic evening? Do what we do-make your reservations and specifically mention it's a romantic night. The wait staff is MOST accommodating, and if you peek over the check-in desk, you'll notice a little "R" next to your name. If you want a window seat, be sure to tell them, and they do their best to accommodate you!
There were mostly adult diners, very few children, and a nice noise level both for casual conversation and for whispered romantic thoughts.
